 Come live the writerly life!  Here’s the chance for those who love to write to unleash their creativity in a nurturing community of writers.  Each morning begins with unique activities to stimulate the senses and inspire the writer within.  Daily mini-workshops are offered for specific ages for personal writing explorations. If you love to write, all you need to bring is your imagination.   (This is not a remedial writing program.)

Open up and say yummmm!  In this weeklong camp, you will learn the sweet science behind cooking and baking some amazing food!  Chef Woodard and her assistants will help you whip up some tasty treats from old favorites like personal key lime pies and homemade salsa to some brand new, top-secret recipes.   By the end of the week, you will be able to go home and turn your own kitchen into a world-famous eatery!

 In this week long camp, you'll create the world in miniature! Learn how to shrink people, rooms, houses, even football stadiums down to size so they fit in the palm of your hand. Use every day materials to create extraordinary (and tiny) things. Come join us in the world of Marvelous Miniatures!

 This is not your mother’s knitting club!  Join us for this week-long exploration of the art of textiles.  Not only will you be casting on and off with your yarn and knitting needles, you’ll also learn the fine art of weaving and macrame.  Even if you've knitted before, instructor Zeiss will show you more advanced techniques. So don’t get too tied up this summer--join us for a week of knitting and more!

 In Hands on Art, we introduce basic art techniques to provide a solid foundation for future artists. We will explore art world mediums including oil pastels, paint and paper. This unique learning experience will emphasize fun while exploring your child's creativity!

#206 Digital Photography

At this camp, students will learn the fundamentals of Photoshop and explore tools to edit photos and create designs. Throughout the week students will make creative designs in Photoshop, and at the end of the week, students will create an interactive portfolio of their designs.

This course is ideal for students with interests in art, graphic design, digital photography, advertising, animation, fashion, architecture or web design. General experience with computers and the internet is necessary, but no experience with art or design is expected.

 Explore diverse media in a playful atmosphere.  The teacher’s demonstration will act as a springboard to explore, experiment, and create authentic art pieces each day.  Closing each session with a reflection circle, students will have the opportunity to offer positive observations about classmates’ work and reflect on their own discoveries.

#209 Robotics and Automation

 After exploring the VEX IQ kit and building a BaseBot robot, students will learn how to use the VEX IQ coding application. Students will test their coding skills by completing different challenges with their robots. We should also have time to explore the VEX CODE VR application in order to code robots in the virtual environment.

#210 Kindergarten Rocks!

  • Completing grades PreK

  • 9:00—12:00  South School  $220

 Offered exclusively for children entering kindergarten in the fall of 2024,, this camp will ease the worry of the unknown and generate excitement for the year ahead.  Campers will experience typical routines in kindergarten, while learning valuable social, motor and academic skills.  We’ll also be reading books, singing songs and sharing poetry that kindergarten teachers would love to know are part of a child’s “invisible backpack” as they enter school in the fall.
