Dear Saxe Intermediate School Families,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I hope you had the opportunity to create lasting memories, enjoy the slower pace, and embark on new adventures with your families and loved ones this summer. The hallways have been too quiet without the buzz and excitement that our students and families bring, and I’m looking forward to seeing our school come alive and shine once again!
As we enter our second year as Saxe Intermediate School, we look forward to strengthening the solid foundation we’ve built and carrying that momentum forward with our theme, Shine Bright—a celebration of positivity, growth, and the unique light each student brings to our community.
We’re also excited to introduce a new part of our daily routine this year called Rise and Shine. This is a 10-minute block at the very start of each school day where students will spend time with one of their teachers, build connections, and start the day off in a positive, welcoming way. Whether it’s checking in, building relationships, or simply engaging in an activity to build community, Rise and Shine is designed to help students feel seen, supported, and ready to learn. We know that when students start their day feeling connected, it sets them up for success — both socially and academically!
