Hey South South! Get your books ready! Starting Jan 16th, join the PTC and South Staff to celebrating reading and support the greatest school on earth, South School!
The Go Blue! Read-A-Thon is designed to motivate our children to read, keep them reading and reward them for reading with cool prizes.
Students can participate in the Read-A-Thon by filling out the forms below and tracking their reading minutes from Jan 16- Jan 29th.
All readers will receive a participation prize for reading every day outside of school regardless of the money you raise for South School. There will also be 2 Grand Prize winners in each grade level for:
1. Grand Prize Winner #1: The student who raises the most money per grade
2. Grand Prize Winner #2: The student who reads the most minutes per grade.
Additionally, there will be a Read-A-Thon Celebration Ceremony, held on February 3rd at 2:15pm in the South School Auditorium, to announce our winners and congratulate everyone for their tremendous work.
We are excited for South School readers to grab a book and have family and friends sponsor them to help raise money for reading initiatives at South!. 100% of the collected money will go to the South School PTC to fund reading initiatives, author visits and other student-adored enrichment programs. So, grab a book and get reading!
