NEASC Accreditation Process & Family Survey

October 2, 2023

Dear NCHS Family,

New Canaan High School is starting our accreditation process which we must complete every 10 years.  New England Association of Schools and Colleges is the accrediting body that assesses, supports and promotes high quality education for all students through accreditation.

In preparation for the upcoming Self-Reflection that New Canaan High School will be completing as part of the NEASC Accreditation process, all students, families, and faculty members will complete surveys designed to provide our school with important feedback on our work. We hope to learn more about what is working well for our students and identify areas for growth and improvement. All responses are anonymous.

Every student will have an opportunity to complete the survey during the school day in their math classes. The questions on the student survey are similar in nature to those on the family survey. Please take the family survey.  If you would like to see the student survey, copies are available for viewing in the Main Office.

For the Parents/guardians survey, we ask that every family complete only one survey. You do not need to complete multiple surveys if you have more than one student in the school. The survey is mobile-ready and can be completed on a computer, tablet, or phone. They have also been professionally translated from English into Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian, and Bosnian. Respondents can choose their language preference from a pull-down menu above the title on the welcome screen to complete the survey in these languages.

Click here for the Family Survey  - We will be keeping the survey open until October 11.  Taking this survey is a valuable part of the self-reflection process that we will use for continuous improvement.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Best,

Bill Egan, Principal
