We are thrilled to announce that Phase 1 of the East School Outdoor Learning Center (OLC) was completed this summer and is now available to our students and staff for learning! This includes an outdoor classroom with whiteboard and seating, a “book nook” area, work tables, science area with stream tables and a vertical garden, and a beautiful walking path for motor breaks.
Classes have already been using the space for writing inspiration, for independent and partner reading time, for science observations, and even to practice their weather vocabulary in Spanish! We look forward to more learning here this year and expanding our OLC as we look ahead to Phase 2 soon! Stay tuned!
