Each Student of the Month earns his or her award by being an exceptional role model and exemplifying such desired ideals as working well with their peers, being open to new ideas, and reaching beyond their potential in class each day.
They are responsible and positive leaders displaying an outstanding attitude that includes school pride and respect for others.
The spirit of the program celebrates students for who they are and what they do to make NCHS a special place.
Students may be nominated by anyone on staff at NCHS or even their peers. Each month, a google form is sent out by several teachers who make up the recently formed Student of the Month Committee. Responses are reviewed, and two students are chosen per grade each month.
Student of the Month awardees are listed in a photo-display in the NCHS main hallway.
