It has been wonderful to have our classrooms full with students and to have all of our staff back at East as we continue to move forward in 2021. Thank you for continuing to be mindful of our travel protocols, monitoring children at home for symptoms, and keeping students home while awaiting COVID testing results. Your partnership, flexibility, and cooperation in this work is appreciated.
Community Service Continues @ East - Clothes for Kids
As we continue to build students’ awareness and understanding of the needs of others in our community and the community organizations that provide support to others, we are undertaking a community service project this month for Clothes for Kids. Clothes for Kids of Fairfield County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Stamford, CT, at the Yerwood Center. They provide a full week’s worth of clothing, including socks and shoes to children in need in Fairfield County.
Based on their current needs, East families are invited to donate the following items:
Socks - Children (elementary aged) / Youth (teens) (boys and girls)
Donations can be brought to school and put in collection boxes that will be placed at the school doors at the bus circle and at morning drop-off. Items can be brought to East during the week of January 18th. East staff will then arrange for delivery of the items to Clothes for Kids on behalf of East School.
