We are excited to announce our fall East Community Service Project as we continue to bring to life our East School motto, “Work Hard and Be Kind!”
This year, we invite all students and families to participate in the East Kids Heart Jump Rope Obstacle Course Challenge to benefit the American Heart Association. To celebrate our participation in this challenge, the East PTC will contribute a generous donation to the American Heart Association to support research to help those across our country impacted by heart disease and heart illnesses. At the same time, this will help all of us develop heart healthy habits in our lives.
Click HERE to learn more about the East Kids Heart Jump Rope Obstacle Course Challenge and how students and families can participate. Then, stay tuned for a video link that will be shared this Friday afternoon; in that link, Mr. Sangalli will share the details that students will need to know when creating their obstacle course. We will also share resources on Friday that families can use at home in the upcoming weeks to build healthy habits.
In the meantime, be on the look-out today in your child’s backpack for an East School jump rope (thanks to the East PTC). Remote learners are invited to stop by East to pick up a jump rope as well. Each child is receiving a jump rope to use in this community service challenge and to keep themselves healthy and exercising in the months ahead!
Thanks for supporting this important work! Mrs. Woleck
