Dear Families,

image of 4th graders The Fourth Grade Pasta Night was a wonderful event that I am sure made many wonderful memories for our students and parents at East. Thank you to all of our committee volunteers, bakers, and guests who came out for dinner to support our fourth graders!

Thanks to all who came out to help with snacks, BINGO cards, Bingo calling, and the prize table! What a busy night! With that in mind, we also appreciate the tremendous hours that our custodians devote to our school, both during the school day and for these evening events.

Thanks, too, to our PTC Visual and Performing Arts committee that will bring to us the “Cool Cats” jazz performance later this week. This will be a wonderful blend of history and jazz through the decades for our students.

Next Up: STEM!

We look forward to sharing examples of Scratch programming and other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) experiences that you can enjoy as a family at our upcoming STEM and science events:

  • Please join us for a night of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEM) on February 1st, 5:30-7PM. This is a family event – for safety and supervision, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Be sure to mark your calendar for our Science Fair date – Saturday, February 4th. Time to get those projects going - it will be here before you know it!

Have a great week,

Kris
