Science Department

  • Welcome:

The Science Department offers a wide variety of courses which introduce students to the concepts, laws, and processes of both life and physical sciences. The objective of our science program is to provide students with the skillsand knowledge that are necessary to be scientifically literate and responsible citizens. Each student is offered an opportunity to experience a developmentally apprpriate and logically sequenced program that is rooted in problem solving and inquiry. Students in all of our classes, regardless of the level of instruction, utilize the laboratory extensively with two105-minute labs within the eight-day cycle.

While most students follow one of the four suggested sequences below, individual programs can be designed with department permission.

  • Science Course Sequences

Some science courses have concurrent mathematics prerequisites that identify the minimum performance skills used in that course.
