October 1, 2015 | Saxe Building Project Update
The Saxe Building Committee is working with its consultants to finalize the design and cost estimates for the Saxe Building Project. To allow sufficient time for this detailed process, the meetings for the SBC to request project funding by the Board of Finance and Town Council (previously set for October 6 and October 21) are being postponed. The new dates will be determined and communicated shortly.

The Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on the Saxe Middle School Building Project at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, in Town Hall prior to its regularly scheduled meeting.

- First grader, enrollment is expected to be 1375.
- Second grader, enrollment is expected to be 1369.
- Third grader, enrollment is expected to be 1355.
- Fourth grader, enrollment is expected to be 1349.
The most recent renovation at Saxe, which was completed in 1999, was designed for an anticipated maximum of 1200 students, and has been undersized since it was completed.
