    Voicemail 
    • All New Canaan Public Schools staff members have a voicemail account.
    • We expect staff to check their e-mail and voicemail at least once per day. 
    • At the start of the school year, it is helpful to let parents know  the times of the day that you check the voicemail and respond to your calls.

     

    • Please complete the steps below to activate you voicemail for the first time.
      • Dial the internal (4111) or external (203-594-4111) Cisco Unity phone number. If calling from the classroom of an Elementary School, dial 9*4111 from the white phones.
      • Press * when Unity answers
      • Enter your voice mail extension, followed by the # key
      • Enter your password followed by the # key
      • Listen to the directions for enrollment. Remember to press the # key at the end of your recordings.
      • Dial the internal (4111) or external (203-594-4111) Cisco Unity phone number. If calling from the classroom of an Elementary School, dial 9*4111 from the white phones.
      • Press * when Unity answers
      • Enter your voice mail extension, followed by the # key
      • Enter your password followed by the # key
      • Press 1 to hear new messages, or 3 to hear old messages
    • To check your voice mailbox perform the following:
      • Use the following keys to manage your messages and control playback:
      • 1 Restart message
      • 2 Save message
      • 3 Delete message
      • 4 Slow playback
      • 5 Change volume
      • 6 Fast playback
      • 7 Rewind
      • 8 Pause and resume
      • 9 Fast forward to end of message
    • Use the following keys after a message:
      • 1 Replay
      • 2 Save
      • 3 Delete
      • 4 Reply
      • 5 Forward
      • 6 Save as new
      • 7 Rewind
      • 9 Play message summary
    • You can use the * key at any time to cancel or back up, and the # key at any time to skip or move ahead.
