    Credit: 0.5 per Semester

    This is the second half of the two-year Advanced Placement World History sequence. The course content is a continuation of the 9th grade year. Emphasis is upon the history of Asia, Africa, and the Americas and Europe during the last five hundred years. Students  will  further develop their understanding of historical concepts  and will enhance their analytical skills.

    Rigorous reading and writing will be the norm, with students expected to perform such tasks as assess primary data, evaluate arguments, work with diverse historical interpretations, and draw comparisons within the context of history. Summer work is required. As in the first year of the course, College Board’s AP  Historical Thinking Skills lay at the heart of all coursework.
