This is a course that introduces students to the world of criminal justice and asks them to apply scientific principles to the solving of a “crime.” It will take a multidisciplinary approach the will encompass: life sciences, math, language arts, chemistry, social studies, processing skills, physics, earth science, technology and analysis. Some of the many topics covered are fingerprint analysis, blood analysis, toxicology, DNA analysis, hair and fiber analysis and evidence collection methods. Forensic Science is fast paced, exciting look at the science behind some of the most popular shows on television today.
