M3 ALGEBRA I
Duration: 2 Semesters
Prerequisite: Prealgebra and teacher recommendation
Credit: 0.5 per semester
The pacing in this course is faster than that of Algebra I M2, and problems are more challenging and more abstract. As a result, a few more topics will be covered and some will be covered in more depth than in M2. Units of study include: solving equations and inequalities in one variable, writing and graphing linear equations, functions and sequences, systems of equations and inequalities, exponents and exponential functions, polynomials, radicals and quadratic equations, and descriptive statistics.
