    Credit: 0.5 per semester

    The aim of the course is to improve fluency in reading Latin and to develop an appreciation of the works studied with thorough understanding and application of advanced syntax. The adapted readings focus on the  mythological  and historical events and characters of the Monarchy (753-510 BC) and Republic. Students are developing work habits, reading  and writing skills critical for continued study of Latin. Participation in National Latin Exam Level III is expected. There is required daily homework, and frequent use of the Internet for activities and summative assessments.
