Welcome back to school! My name is Ms. Orlando, and I teach Health and co-teach the Project Adventure classes with my fellow physical education colleagues. I’ve been teaching for eighteen years and look forward to many more! One of the best parts of my job is being able to watch my students grow over the years as a result of teaching fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. Watching my students develop over time, allows me the opportunity to grow strong bonds with them.
In addition to teaching Health at the middle school, I also teach Health Education and career Development class for the Afternoon Instructional Program at New Canaan High School. I am the district’s SAT Test Center Supervisor for the past fifteen years. Again, all of my involvement throughout the district of New Canaan allows me to continue to be part of my students’ lives.
Just a little about me… I grew up on Long Island in a small, ride-your-bike- to-the-candy-store, best-pizza-in-the-world neighborhood. When I’m not at school working, I enjoy spending time with my friends, large family, including my loyal feline and canine children, boating, traveling, watching my beloved Yankees play ball, and challenging myself by completing my Sunday crossword puzzle.
Overall, I look forward to working with my students and their families.
