The high school counseling office provides services to all students in academic guidance, college and career preparation, and social and emotional development. Programs and service are aligned with the school's mission of preparing all students to meet the challenges of living in an increasingly global and diverse society.
We believe that students must be able to actively use self-reflection as a learning tool, that students must develop strong problem solving skills, and that students should learn effective communications skills. The ability to work and live collaboratively with others and the necessity of respecting themselves and others are essential skills for living, including making healthy life choices.
NCHS students are expected to understand their responsibility to contribute to their school and to the larger communities of which they may be a part.
